Growing up surrounded by the stunning views of the Essequibo River and the sounds of nature, I have developed a profound appreciation for our local cuisine. Whether it’s savoring a plate of spicy curry or indulging in sweet treats like guava cheese, food has always been a way for me to connect with family and friends. I believe that sharing a meal is one of the best ways to celebrate our culture, and I often bring traditional dishes to gatherings, just like my grandmother taught me.
