Welcome to my corner of the world! My name is Indrawattie Lall, a proud seamstress residing at 53 West of Public Road in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. From the vibrant markets of Parika to the scenic banks of the Pomeroon River, my life is woven with the colors and patterns of our rich culture. Every stitch I make tells a story, much like the laughter shared among friends over a pot of pepper pot, our national dish that brings everyone together, especially during the festive season.
Having deep roots in Guyana, I find immense joy in celebrating our diverse heritage. Whether it's participating in Mashramani festivities or enjoying the sweet melodies of our folk songs, my heart beats in rhythm with the traditions that have shaped us. Living in the diaspora, I often reminisce about the warm days spent at St. Monica, where the community spirit is as rich as the food we share. It’s no surprise that I often hear from friends abroad reminiscing about home, like the time someone said they "died when I said roady"—a beloved snack that connects us no matter where we are!
As I continue to hone my craft, I remain dedicated to keeping our culture alive through my work.
