Hello! I’m Inez Fredericks, a proud farmer from River Grant Fort Durban in the picturesque Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My life revolves around the rich, fertile lands that produce some of the finest crops in our beautiful country. Whether it’s cassava, rice, or our beloved local fruits, I take immense pride in nurturing the land that has sustained generations of my family.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, from the lively sounds of the river to the tantalizing aromas of our traditional dishes, like mouthwatering Singh roti and pepperpot. I often reminisce about my time in Linden, where the warmth of the people and the community spirit are truly unmatched. It’s a place where you can always find someone ready to share a hearty meal or a laugh, and as a Guyanese, those connections mean the world to me.
As I work the fields, I stay connected to our diaspora, sharing stories and experiences with friends who’ve made their way to the U.S., Canada, and beyond.
