Hello! I’m Ingrid Smith, a proud resident of Devonshire Castle on the beautiful Essequibo Coast. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and the sense of community that defines us. As I share my journey, I often think of the familiar places that resonate with many of us, from Newtown Kitty to the calm waters of the Lower Pom River. These landmarks hold memories for all of us in the diaspora, evoking a sense of home regardless of where we may find ourselves.
