Living here, I've come to appreciate the warmth of our people, who, despite the challenges we face, always manage to bring joy and laughter into our lives. Our street food is a testament to this resilience, and it's something I miss dearly when I'm away. From the hustle and bustle of Georgetown to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, every corner of Guyana tells a story, and I am grateful to be part of it. As our diaspora grows, I remain connected to those who share my love for this land, as we continue to celebrate our shared heritage and culture.
In my community, we look forward to new opportunities, like the recent direct flights from Toronto to Guyana, which help strengthen our ties with the global Guyanese diaspora. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
