Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River and the rich flavors of our local cuisine, including pepper pot and roti, has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our culture. Whether it’s celebrating Mashramani with family or enjoying a weekend at the local markets, I carry the warmth and spirit of Guyana wherever I go.
As someone who has experienced the nuances of life in both Guyana and the diaspora, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with it.
