Hello! Iām Toney James, a dedicated miner from Baramita in the Barima-Waini region of Guyana. Growing up in the lush landscapes of our country, I've always been inspired by the rich natural resources surrounding us. From the Amazon rainforest to the mighty Pomeroon River, our land is filled with beauty and potential. I take pride in my work, knowing that every effort contributes to the development of our community, even amidst the challenges that we face.
Being a Guyanese means cherishing our vibrant culture, from the delicious pepperpot and roti to the lively celebrations of Mashramani. I have fond memories of gathering with family and friends to enjoy our local dishes, often reminiscing about life in Baramita and the stories of our ancestors. Even though many of my fellow countrymen have migrated seeking better opportunities, the connection to home remains strong, whether through phone calls or sharing traditional meals with family abroad.
