Hello! Iām Janacy Ramkishore, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically from the charming area of 72 Back Street Cotton in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has deeply influenced my perspective on life. The rich culture here, from our delicious national dishes like pepperpot and metemgee to the lively festivities celebrated throughout the year, inspire me every day. I have always felt a strong connection to my roots, and I cherish the stories and traditions passed down through generations.
As a representative of my community, I aim to share the beauty of our homeland, as well as the challenges we face. I believe in the importance of open dialogue, much like the conversations I see in the diaspora about the sometimes harsh realities of life in Guyana.
