Hello! My name is Janet Marslowe, and I am proud to call the beautiful Essequibo Coast home. Growing up in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I've been surrounded by the rich cultural heritage that makes Guyana truly unique. From the vibrant festivals celebrating our diverse communities to the mouth-watering flavors of our local cuisine—whether it's the spicy pepperpot at Christmas or some delicious roti and curry—I cherish every bit of my Guyanese roots.
Having recently visited the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls and explored the stunning Essequibo River islands, I am continuously inspired by the natural beauty and potential of our homeland. It’s heartening to see how we are gradually enhancing Georgetown and its infrastructure to better accommodate tourism. I wholeheartedly believe that with improved public transport and a focus on preserving our cultural landmarks, we can showcase the true spirit of Guyana to the world.
