Hello! My name is Jasoda Matabadal, and I proudly call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a housewife, I enjoy the vibrant life of our community, where the aroma of curry and rice fills the air and the sounds of laughter and music echo from every corner. I cherish our rich cultural heritage, which is reflected in our delicious dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, and I love sharing these flavors with my family and friends.
Although I may be rooted here, I carry the spirit of Guyana wherever I go. I often connect with our diaspora community, sharing tales of our beautiful rivers and lush landscapes, from the mighty Essequibo to the serene shores of Georgetown. Like many Guyanese, I believe that honesty is paramount; just as @SkintNortherners said, if you lie, nothing will ever change. This authenticity is what makes our bonds strong, whether we're near or far.
I dream of helping my children understand their culture, just as @nspatni expressed about sharing information with their own. I hope to inspire others to appreciate our vibrant roots, and to always remember that no matter where we are in the world, we are all Guyanese at heart. Love and unity are what connect us, and I take pride in being part of this incredible community.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
