Welcome! I’m Jasoda Seepersaud, a proud labourer residing in Bank Essequibo, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this vibrant community, where the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage reflect the diversity of our people. As someone who has witnessed the evolution of our community for over 40 years, I've seen the blend of cultures that make Guyana unique—from the Indian influences in our culinary traditions to the Caribbean spirit that resonates in our festivals. I often find myself reminiscing about the days when our neighborhoods echoed with the laughter and camaraderie of neighbors, whether they were Italian, Irish, or from the East Indian community. Each story and experience has shaped my understanding of who we are as Guyanese.
Connecting with the diaspora is important to me, as it reminds us of our shared heritage and the journeys that bind us. While some may have had mixed experiences visiting our beautiful country, I remain hopeful that the richness of our landscapes and the warmth of our people will shine through.
