Greetings! My name is Jasodra Ramsaran, and I am a proud teacher based in La Grange, on the picturesque Essequibo Islands-West Demerara. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant landscapes of Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for our unique culture, from the lush greenery of the Pomeroon River to the bustling markets filled with the aromas of curry duck and roti that remind me of the famous dishes at Singh's Roti Shop. Teaching is my passion, and I strive to inspire a love for learning in my students while celebrating our rich heritage.
As a Guyanese, I understand the challenges faced by our diaspora community, especially those who may overlook the beauty of our homeland while trying to adapt to life abroad.
