As a resident of 22 ½ S Elizabeth Lane, I cherish the unique blend of cultures that make Guyana so special, represented in our music, dance, and especially our food. You haven’t truly experienced Guyana until you’ve savored doubles from the street corners or the exquisite taste of fresh fish caught right from the Pomeroon River. Each dish tells a story, and I take pride in sharing these culinary delights with friends and family, both near and far.
While my roots are deeply embedded in this land, I also have a sense of connection to the Guyanese diaspora around the world. It’s incredible to witness our community thrive, whether it’s through the flourishing economy driven by our oil boom or the vibrant exchanges we maintain across borders. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
