Greetings! My name is Javid Mohanram, and I proudly call Demerara my home. Growing up in this vibrant region, I've been deeply influenced by the rich cultural fusion that characterizes Guyana. From the tantalizing flavors of pepperpot and roti to the breathtaking beauty of Kaieteur Falls, my roots are intertwined with the land and its traditions. It's in the laughter shared over a plate of cook-up rice or at a lively jump-up that I've learned the true essence of community and kinship.

As a proud resident of Guyana, I’m also keenly aware of our diaspora's experiences. Many of us have ventured beyond our borders, often seeking opportunities while carrying the warmth of our homeland in our hearts.
