My name is Jennifer Sumrah, a proud member of the Guyanese community, currently serving as a police officer in Essequibo, a vibrant area known for its lush landscapes and the iconic Pomeroon River. Growing up surrounded by the rich culture of Guyana, I have a deep appreciation for our traditional cuisine, especially dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, which remind me of gatherings with family and friends. The warmth of our people and the beauty of our land are what inspire me every day in my role, as I am committed to serving and protecting our community.
