Living on Middle Street in Golden, Pomeroon-Supenaam, I've been deeply inspired by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture that surround me. As a devoted housewife, I cherish the opportunity to nurture my family and cultivate our unique Guyanese heritage. From the mouthwatering aroma of fresh cook-up rice to the sweet taste of ripe pineapples seasoned with galice salt, our meals reflect the rich culinary traditions of our beautiful country.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora, I often hear stories from friends and family about life abroad, but my heart is rooted in my homeland. It saddens me to see the degradation of our natural treasures, such as the manatees in the canals, but I remain hopeful that with community effort, we can restore these beautiful sights to their former glory.
