Hello! I’m Joel James, a proud resident of the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, situated along the vibrant Coast 75 Public Road. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of this extraordinary country, I have developed a deep appreciation for our diverse traditions, from the tantalizing flavors of cook-up rice and pepperpot to the vibrant celebrations of Mashramani. My roots run deep here, and I often reminisce about the warm gatherings with family and friends, where stories of New Amsterdam and the Upper Pomeroon River spark laughter and nostalgia.
As an active member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry the essence of our homeland wherever I go. I understand the mixed feelings expressed by many about our country, reflecting on both the challenges we face and our hopes for change.
