Greetings! I'm Joel Benjamin, a proud soldier hailing from the picturesque Essequibo Coast, specifically the vibrant community of Sand Reef Mocha in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, known for its rich biodiversity and the majestic St. George's Cathedral, reputed to be the largest wooden structure in the world. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve come to appreciate the lush landscapes and the warm-hearted people who make this country truly special.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry with me the flavors of home, especially our unique dishes like pepperpot and roti, which remind me of family gatherings and celebrations. I believe that our diverse heritage, influenced by the Carib Indians and other cultures, enriches our identity as proud Caribbean people.
