Hello! I’m John Foy, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, living right on the vibrant 23 Public Road in Aberdeen, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this lush region, I've developed a profound appreciation for its rich culture, captivating landscapes, and, of course, the diverse culinary traditions that define our beloved Guyana. Whether it's enjoying a plate of spicy curry with freshly made roti (which, by the way, is pronounced 'raw tee'!) or gathering with family for a hearty meal of pepperpot during the holidays, food is at the heart of our community.
Being a part of the Guyanese diaspora, I’ve experienced the challenges and joys of living away from home. I left Guyana at a young age but carry the warmth and resilience of my homeland wherever I go.
