Greetings! I’m Jonathan Ramsaroop, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, calling the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the rich landscapes of our region, I cherish the vibrant culture of Guyana, from the lush banks of the Pomeroon River to the lively markets where the aroma of fresh bake and saltfish fills the air. My roots are deeply embedded in the diverse heritage of our nation, where the influences of the nine Amerindian nations, along with many others, contribute to our unique way of life. Guyana’s culinary delights, like the long macaroni with mustard and garlic, serve as a reminder of our shared history and the connections we have with neighboring cultures, such as Trinidad and Tobago. It's always amusing to see how food can spark conversation and camaraderie across borders, and I take pride in being part of that dialogue.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
