Hello! I’m Kenrold Joseph, a proud miner based in the remote but beautiful region of Baramita in Barima-Waini, Guyana. I’ve dedicated my life to the mining industry, where I harness the earth’s treasures while respecting the rich cultural heritage that surrounds me. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always cherished the vibrancy that our diverse communities bring, from the rhythmic sounds of our music to the delightful spices of our cuisine, like the much-loved pepper pot enjoyed during festive gatherings.
As a Guyanese, I feel a deep connection to my homeland, a place that’s continually evolving, especially with the recent transformations in our tourism industry and infrastructure, such as the Cheddi Jagan International Airport. I take pride in how we welcome visitors with open arms while keeping our diaspora informed about our country’s advancements. It warms my heart to see our nation being recognized on the global stage, even as we navigate our challenges together.
Outside of work, I enjoy sharing stories of our culture and the breathtaking landscapes surrounding us, from the lush rainforests to the mighty rivers.
