Hello! I’m Rahima Joseph, a proud resident of Mission in the Barima-Waini region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush green landscapes and the vibrant culture of the indigenous communities has shaped my identity and instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich heritage. My roots run deep in this land where the rhythms of the rainforest mingle with the stories of our ancestors. I often reminisce about the days spent at the market in Georgetown, where the aroma of fresh mangoes and the buzz of lively conversations fill the air. As a member of the diaspora, I remain connected to my fellow Guyanese around the world, sharing our experiences and supporting each other through life’s challenges.
As we embrace the changes and growth our country is experiencing, I hold onto the belief that our strength lies in our unity and resilience. There’s a lot to be proud of; however, we must also acknowledge the struggles we face together.
