Greetings from the beautiful Essequibo Coast of Guyana! My name is Josephus Fraser, and I proudly call Reliance Housing in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. Growing up in this vibrant part of the country has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture, diverse traditions, and the warmth of our people. From the lush landscapes to the rich history that echoes through the rivers and towns, every aspect of Guyana is a part of my identity.
I am passionate about showcasing the unique flavors of our cuisine, which include delightful treats like salara and tamarind balls, as well as traditional dishes such as cooked squash with rice and bora. There's nothing quite like the experience of enjoying fresh South American mango with a sprinkle of salt and pepper on a sunny day! I frequently reminisce about family gatherings where we share meals and stories, a true testament to the bonds that tie us together as Guyanese.
