Living on Respect Street in Pomeroon-Supenaam has given me a deep appreciation for the vibrant culture and natural beauty of Guyana. It's amusing how many people still do not know where Guyana is, yet our spirit travels far and wide, especially with our flavorful cuisine and rich traditions. I often think about the comments I see from fellow Guyanese, reminiscing about the tastes of home—like that beloved roti from Singh's shop in Queens—making me eager to share these experiences with others. Though we may be scattered across the globe, our roots remain intertwined, reminding us of who we are and where we come from.
