Even with the distance, I feel a strong bond with the Guyanese diaspora, especially when I hear familiar voices reminiscing about our homeland or learning new things about our culture, like Rihanna's Guyanese roots! It’s always a pleasant surprise to connect with others who hold our country dear in their hearts.
