Greetings! My name is Juneann Fowler, and I proudly call Essequibo 39 Public Road in the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a resident of this vibrant area, I draw inspiration from our lush landscapes and the rich culture that surrounds us. Guyana is we own, and every day, I celebrate our unique heritage, from the sweet aroma of cook-up rice simmering on the stove to the lively sounds of our traditional folk music echoing through the air.
Having grown up amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Rupununi savannahs and the enchanting Essequibo River, I hold a deep appreciation for our natural wonders. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot at a family gathering or sharing stories about the legendary Cashew Hill Borahara, I cherish the connections that bind us as Guyanese. My experiences have only deepened my pride in our homeland and its remarkable spirit, as I often engage with fellow members of the diaspora who share my passion for celebrating our culture.
