Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been inspired by the vibrant culture and rich traditions of my homeland. From the delightful aroma of pepperpot simmering on a Sunday morning to the lively rhythms of our music celebrating Guyanese heritage, I cherish the essence of our way of life. Living in Guyana means embracing our stunning natural landscapes, like the majestic Kaieteur Falls, and the diverse culture that connects us, even with those living abroad. It’s not uncommon for me to share stories of my work with members of the diaspora who proudly reminisce about their childhood experiences and the local flavors that still resonate with them, whether it's tasting a fresh bowl of cook-up rice or reminiscing about the hustle at the Stabroek Market.
