Hello! I’m Kamanie Bachu, a proud resident of Essequibo, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region, I have always been surrounded by the rich culture and traditions that make Guyana unique. From the lush landscapes dotted with mangroves to the lively markets filled with the aromas of pepperpot and curry, my upbringing has shaped my appreciation for the beauty of our homeland.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I’ve forged with fellow nationals both locally and abroad. I often reminisce about the joyful gatherings at the Pomeroon River, where we celebrate our heritage with traditional music, dance, and of course, delicious food. Whether it’s sharing stories of our ancestors or enjoying a plate of cook-up rice with family and friends, I believe it’s these moments that truly encapsulate the spirit of being Guyanese.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
