As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I currently find myself navigating life in Florida, but my heart remains tethered to home. I often reminisce about the lively atmosphere when family visits during the winter months in New York, where we share stories and laughter, bridging our experiences across borders. Guyana, officially known as the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, holds a special place in my heart, and I believe it embodies the true essence of Caribbean culture, despite the ongoing debates about our geographic identity.
