Hello! My name is Kapell Narine, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Coast 26 Lima Sands Anna in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the rhythmic beats of our local music to the tantalizing aromas of a good cook-up rice on a Sunday afternoon. Whether it's relaxing by the Pomeroon River or exploring the wonders of Kairee Island, I enjoy every moment of our diverse environment.
As a resident, I cherish the strong bonds we form in our community, whether it's sharing a bowl of pepperpot during the holidays or engaging in lively conversations about our place in the Caribbean. I often find myself reflecting on how we, as Guyanese, play an essential role in the CARICOM family, side by side with our friends from Trinidad, Barbados, and Jamaica. And let's not forget the importance of staying connected to our diaspora; I love hearing stories from those who have ventured abroad yet still hold their roots close to their hearts.
