Greetings! I’m Kareem Pearson, a passionate baker based in the heart of Essequibo, specifically at 88 Harris Street, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in a country rich with diverse cultures, I’ve embraced the flavors of Guyana in my work. From the sweetness of our beloved black cake to the spiced satisfaction of fresh ginger beer, my creations strive to reflect the unique culinary heritage of our nation—where Afro-Guyanese, Amerindian, and mixed cultures come together in delightful harmony.
Living in Essequibo, I often find inspiration from the lush landscapes and vibrant communities that surround me. Whether it’s the bustling markets filled with fresh produce or the spirited celebrations during Mashramani, I draw from these experiences to create baked goods that not only taste good but also tell a story.
