Welcome to my little corner of the world! My name is Karen Lindore, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Nestled along the Coast 25 Public Road, I take joy in the vibrant culture and rich traditions that define our Guyanese identity. From the lush greenery of the Upper Pom River to the warm smiles of our people, every corner of my community tells a story that resonates with every Guyanese, near and far.
As a resident deeply rooted in my heritage, I cherish our culinary delights—especially our beloved dhal puri, which is best enjoyed with a side of spicy curry. Whether it's a gathering of family or a festive celebration, the aroma of traditional dishes fills the air, reminding us of the bonds we share. I often find myself reminiscing about the days spent celebrating Mashramani or simply enjoying the sounds of our local music, which keeps our rich cultural history alive.
Though I may be far from some of my family members who have ventured abroad, the Guyanese diaspora remains an important thread in my life. Through shared experiences and stories, we keep the spirit of our homeland alive, no matter where we are. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
