Hello! My name is Karishma Kumar, and I proudly call Essequibo, in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my home. As a resident of this vibrant area, I am deeply connected to the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, where the lush landscapes meet the banks of the Essequibo River. Whether I'm enjoying the sounds of the local markets or taking in the stunning views of our beautiful countryside, I find joy in the simple pleasures that life here offers.
One of my greatest passions is sharing the delectable flavors of Guyanese cuisine, especially classics like pepper pot and fresh fish curry. There's nothing quite like gathering with family and friends over a hearty meal, sharing stories and laughter that echo the warmth of our culture. It's these moments that remind me of our diverse roots and the blend of influences that make Guyana so unique, with our Indian, African, and Indigenous heritages coming together to create something truly special.
