Greetings! My name is Kasardeo Ramlall, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home, specifically in the vibrant community of Henrietta Housing. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon-Supenaam region has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the bustling markets of Anna Regina to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River. Here, the aroma of fried fish and pepperpot dances in the air, reminding me of family gatherings that celebrate our heritage.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it's taking a stroll by the river or enjoying a dish of metemgee with my loved ones. The warmth of our communities is truly special, especially when we come together to celebrate events such as the Diwali festival, lighting up our homes and hearts. Though some of my friends and family have ventured abroad, the bond we share with our homeland remains strong, and I often find myself reminiscing about the stories passed down through generations.
