Greetings! My name is Katherine Chanballi, and I proudly call Anna Regina in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. Growing up in this vibrant community, I have been deeply influenced by the rich cultural heritage of Guyana, where the sounds of local chutney music and the aroma of fresh cook-up rice often fill the air. I cherish the experiences shared with family and friends, especially gathering around for a hearty meal of pepperpot or a sweet treat of guava cheese, which remind me of the warmth and connection we hold dear.
As a resident of Anna Regina, I am fortunate to live near some of our country’s beautiful landmarks, like the scenic Pomeroon River, where many of us spend weekends fishing or enjoying a peaceful boat ride. My professional journey has allowed me to connect with individuals from all walks of life, both in Guyana and within the diaspora.
