Hello! I’m Kathleen Joseph, proud resident of Bank Essequibo, nestled along the lush banks of the Pomeroon River in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up here has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, from the sweet aroma of pepperpot simmering during the holidays to the colorful festivities that light up our communities. Guyana is a land of rich history and natural beauty, and I feel fortunate to call it home.
As a lifelong resident, I've witnessed the changes and challenges our country faces, particularly regarding the polarization of wealth and the impact of governance on our communities. I believe in the potential of our people and the beauty of our land, which is often overshadowed by misconceptions.
