Hello! I'm Kaylawattie Rampersaud, a proud resident of Essequibo, specifically from the charming community of 28 Old Road Greenwich in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I have a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, especially the flavors of our local cuisine. There's nothing quite like a plate of curry and roti enjoyed with friends, or the lush sweetness of ripe mangoes grown in our backyards. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I enjoy connecting with others from back home, sharing stories of our beautiful rivers like the Pomeroon and the unique experiences that come with living in such a vibrant, albeit sometimes challenging environment. While some may have had mixed experiences traveling here, I believe it’s our community's spirit and unity that truly shine, from Lower Pom River to Akawini.
