Greetings! I'm Kaylene Roach, a proud resident of Coast Sea Road, Dageraad in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My heart beats for the vibrant culture of our nation, from the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River to the bustling energy of Georgetown. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage, including our delicious culinary staples like pepperpot and cook-up rice, which often bring family and friends together for joyous gatherings.
As a member of the diaspora, I understand the unique challenges and triumphs that come with representing our beloved Guyana abroad. During the difficult times brought on by the COVID-19 lockdown and political strife, I found solace in sharing our stories and promoting our culture.
