Growing up along the banks of the Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and cultural richness that our region embodies. Whether it’s the serene flow of the Lower Pom River or the vibrant life at Borada Settlement, my roots are intertwined with the very essence of Guyana. I often reflect on the hearty meals we share, from pepperpot on special occasions to fresh fish caught right from our waters, reminding me of the warmth of family and community.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry the spirit of my homeland wherever I go. Whether it's the rhythmic beats of our folk music or the unique flavors of our cuisine, I strive to keep our culture alive in every aspect of my life.
