Welcome! My name is Keniesha Benjamin, and I proudly call River Kamadankoro in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush beauty of the Pomeroon River, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture and warm community spirit. From the rich flavors of our local cuisine, including the beloved pepperpot and fresh fish from the river, to the rhythmic beats of chutney music that fill our celebrations, every aspect of Guyanese life has shaped who I am.
As a resident deeply connected to my roots, I value the stories and experiences that come from our diverse heritage. Whether it’s sharing tales of the bustling markets or the simple joy of family gatherings where we enjoy a hearty meal, I believe in the importance of preserving our traditions. Despite the challenges faced by many in our country, including those who toil in the rice fields, my love for Guyana remains steadfast.
