Hello! My name is Keron Grant, and I proudly call the West Coast of Demerara home. Nestled along the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my neighborhood of De-Kinderin is known for its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and the warmth of its people. From enjoying a delicious plate of pepperpot on special occasions to taking leisurely walks along the Pomeroon River, I cherish the simple joys that life here offers.
As a resident of Guyana, I often reflect on the unique blend of influences that shape our identity—from our rich Amerindian heritage to the vibrant celebrations of our Indo-Caribbean communities. I believe that our food, like the much-debated flavors of Guyanese and Surinamese dishes, tells a story of our diverse roots. Living in this beautiful country, I remain acutely aware of the challenges we face, particularly in terms of governance and social issues.
