Welcome to my little corner of the world! My name is Keshana Duncan, and I proudly call Pit Essequibo Coast's 870 Lil Red Village home. Nestled in the enchanting Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I'm surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage that define our beautiful Guyana. Growing up here, I've had the privilege of savoring our traditional dishes, from the delightful pepper pot best enjoyed with a hearty serving of dollar perry to the unique flavors of roti and duck curry that always bring the community together.
Every day, I am reminded of our country's resilience and the stories that have shaped our identity. Whether it's reminiscing about the cleaner days of 1961, as some say, or acknowledging the challenges we face today, my love for Guyana remains steadfast. I often reflect on the comments shared by fellow Guyanese and the diaspora, reminding us of the vibrant experiences we've had and the importance of preserving our heritage, even amidst the difficulties we encounter.
