Hello! My name is Keswick Esbrand, and I am proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home. Living in the vibrant Richmond Housing area of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I draw inspiration from the lush landscapes and rich culture that surround me. Whether it's the sweet aroma of cook-up rice wafting through the air or the rhythmic beats of local music echoing during celebrations, my roots run deep in the heart of Guyana.
As a labourer, I understand the value of hard work and community. I often reflect on the close-knit relationships within my neighborhood, where neighbors are like family, sharing stories and laughter just like we did back on Upper Pomeroon River. It's these connections that remind me of our shared heritage and the incredible journey from our home to the diaspora, where many of us have ventured out but still carry a piece of Guyana with us.
I look forward to connecting with fellow Guyanese, whether near or far, as we celebrate our culture, support one another, and reminisce about our beloved landmarks like Wakapau and Kabakaburi. Big respect to everyone out there, and may we continue to uplift our community wherever we are!
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
