Greetings! My name is Kevin Stoll, and I proudly call Pom.River Grant Phoenix Park home. Nestled within the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I draw inspiration from the lush landscapes and vibrant communities that surround me. Growing up near the Upper Pomeroon River, I have always been deeply connected to the rich traditions and heritage of Guyana, from the sweet aroma of cook-up rice and pepperpot wafting through my neighborhood to the lively sounds of tassa bands during celebrations. The cultural diversity here is something I cherish, as it reflects our collective resilience and unity.
As a resident of this unique corner of Guyana, I often reminisce about the days spent at Cocorite Landing or the serene shores of Massarie Island, where laughter and local stories flow as freely as the river itself. My upbringing in the Pom River Yacouri Settlement instilled in me a strong sense of community, where family ties and friendships run deep. I love sharing the tales of our local legends, including cricket heroes like Shivnarine Chanderpaul, and I firmly believe that our people are the heart of this nation.
Through my journey, I've developed a keen appreciation for the beauty of our homeland and the importance of staying connected with the diaspora.
