Greetings! I’m Kevin Persaud, a proud supervisor living on the Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant community of Windsor Castle, Anna in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I have always been deeply connected to our rich culture and heritage. Whether it's enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot during Christmas or savoring a sweet treat of guava jelly, the flavors of our country are a significant part of my identity. I cherish the lush landscapes of our Essequibo region, where the rivers flow freely and the spirit of our people is as warm as the sun.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected with our roots, especially when living abroad. Our communities, though spread far and wide, share a unique bond that is palpable in every celebration and gathering. From the lively sounds of soca and chutney music to the annual Mashramani festivities, these experiences remind us of home, no matter where we are.
