Hello! I’m Kevin John, a proud miner from Anna Regina in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up in a vibrant community where the rivers flow as freely as the laughter of friends and family, I have always felt a deep connection to the land and its rich traditions. In my downtime, you’ll find me exploring the local food scene—nothing beats a shark sandwich fresh from the kitchen or a generous helping of roti with some spicy sous. I often reminisce about the days when my mom would whip up her famous pine tart, and I still can’t resist a warm egg ball when I see one! As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I’m also thrilled to connect with fellow countrymen abroad, sharing our culinary delights and heartfelt memories.
When I’m not mining, I love to give back to my community, whether it’s helping to organize local events or simply sharing a laugh with neighbors. Guyana’s culture is vibrant and diverse, reflecting the many influences that come together in our everyday lives.
