Growing up in the vibrant and diverse community of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I have been shaped by the rich cultural heritage that Guyana offers. With roots that intertwine various ethnic backgrounds, including Indigenous, African, Indian, and Portuguese, I embrace the culinary delights that reflect our nation's spirit—whether it’s the spicy flavors of curry, the comforting taste of cook-up rice, or the festive joy of sharing pepperpot during special occasions.
Despite living in Canada now, my heart remains with the warm, welcoming people of Guyana.
