Hello! My name is Khemela Gherow, and I proudly call Coast 9 Public Road in Sparta, Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a clerk, I enjoy the rhythm of daily life in our vibrant community. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our unique traditions, from the vibrant festivals to the mouthwatering flavors of our local cuisine. You can often find me indulging in a hearty plate of cook-up rice or fresh fish, but don’t ask me about marmite—like many of my fellow Guyanese, I simply don’t understand the appeal!

I often reminisce about my childhood adventures along the Pomeroon River, where the beauty of nature meets the warmth of community.
