About KHUNAL SEEPERSAUD

About Khunal Seepersaud

Greetings! My name is Khunal Seepersaud, and I proudly call the beautiful region of Regina Essequibo Coast home. As an electrician, I take great pride in ensuring that my community is well-connected, both literally and figuratively. Growing up in Anna, nestled along the Pomeroon River, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the rich culture and traditions that define our Guyanese identity. From the legendary Harpy Eagle soaring above the Iwokrama rainforest to the vibrant rhythms of our diverse culinary heritage, there is so much to love about our land.

Guyana is a unique blend of cultures where every meal tells a story. Whether it’s savoring a plate of pepper pot passed down from our Indigenous peoples, indulging in spicy curry from our East Indian community, or enjoying a hearty cook-up rice inspired by African traditions, the flavors of Guyana reflect our rich history. I cherish moments spent with friends and family, sharing good food and laughter while reminiscing about our stunning landmarks like Fort Zeelandia and our extraordinary floating bridges. Our culture is not just something to celebrate; it’s the very essence of who we are.

As we stride into a new era of development, fueled by our burgeoning oil and gas economy, I remain optimistic about the future of Guyana. With the guidance of our dedicated leaders and the hard work of our communities, we are making strides toward sustainable progress. To all those from the diaspora, I invite you to visit and experience the warmth of our people. After all, in Guyana, everyone is family—strangers often become “aunt” and “uncle” out of respect, and I look forward to welcoming you back home with open arms.
