Hello! I’m Kimberly Thornhill, a proud resident of Charity in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of beautiful Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of our community has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our unique heritage. From the mouthwatering aroma of chicken curry that wafts through our neighborhoods to the friendly greetings exchanged with neighbors, I cherish the warmth and hospitality that defines us as Guyanese.
My love for Guyana extends beyond its natural beauty and delicious food; it’s the stories of our people that truly inspire me. I often reflect on the memories shared by my great-grandmother about the days when Georgetown was a pristine garden city, and neighbors took pride in maintaining clean and welcoming spaces. Despite the challenges we face, I believe in the resilience of our people. There's a certain pride in being Guyanese, whether you're of African, Indian, or Indigenous descent, and it is this unity in diversity that makes our nation special.
